What Makes It Special
Choose a radiant smooth-faced model or a heat-circulating rolled-louver model, with a fully insulated firebox and white stacked refractory panels.
It has a log grate, push/pull damper, mesh screens, and a barometric outside air damper; a fan kit is available for the circulating models. Superior backs it with a 20-year limited warranty.
Possible Downsides
• It is a wood fire. You haul and store wood, clean ash, and sweep the chimney.
• Glass doors are sold separately. Superior offers bi-fold glass doors as an option.
