The Hargrove Driftwood Full Pan set is for the homeowner with a working see-through or peninsula wood-burning fireplace who wants a real-looking fire.
What Makes It Special
The logs are curving lines and smooth, weathered textures that give every log its own character.
They sit on Hargrove’s Full Pan burner, which Hargrove designs for two-sided and peninsula fireplaces and which also works in a single-sided fireplace. The same pan takes fire glass, river stones, or cannon balls if you change the look later.
Hargrove backs the logs with a limited lifetime warranty in the fireplace they were first installed in, the burner and grate for five years, and valves and remotes for two.
Possible Downsides
• It is for ambiance, not heat. The damper stays open while it burns, so most of the warmth goes up the chimney.
• The burner is sold separately. This set needs the matching Hargrove Full Pan burner.
• Glass doors stay open while it burns. Hargrove’s manual requires the fireplace doors fully open whenever the logs are lit.
