Hargrove: 24" Blazing Pecan Charred Log Set

A massive charred pecan front log that looks like the fire has been going a while.

Quick Facts

• Heating Capacity: Designed for ambiance, not as a heat source.
• Fuel: Natural gas or propane, set by the burner kit you choose.
• Controls: Chosen with the burner: manual safety pilot, on/off or variable-flame remote, or electronic ignition.
• Burner: Works with the E-Burner, H-Burner, Hidden Control, or System 4 burner kit (sold separately).

Who It’s For

A wood-burning fireplace looks right on the nights you light it, but hauling wood, building the fire, and sweeping ash turn every fire into a chore. You want a real-looking fire at the turn of a knob or the press of a button. The Hargrove Blazing Pecan 24-inch set is for the homeowner with a working wood-burning fireplace, sized for a mid-size fireplace, who wants that fire without the work. Vented gas logs are about the fire you see, not heat: choose them for the look, and choose a gas insert if you want the fireplace to warm the house.

What Makes It Special

The Blazing Pecan has a massive front log with deep bark texture and detailed charred areas.

It belongs to Hargrove’s Charred styles: deep bark detail and smoky charring on refractory logs rated for more than 2000°F, reinforced with metal mesh, and hand painted one log at a time.

You pick the burner and the controls to suit the way you want to use it. Hargrove backs the logs with a limited lifetime warranty in the fireplace they were first installed in, the burner and grate for five years, and valves and remotes for two.

Possible Downsides

• It is for ambiance, not heat. The damper stays open while it burns, so most of the warmth goes up the chimney.
• The burner is sold separately. Plan on a 24-inch Hargrove burner kit with the controls you want.
• Glass doors stay open while it burns. Hargrove’s manual requires the fireplace doors fully open whenever the logs are lit.

If you want a blazing pecan fire without the wood, the Hargrove Blazing Pecan 24-inch set is the right decision. The fireplace you used to walk past becomes the one you light every evening.

Pair it with a 24-inch Hargrove E-Burner, H-Burner, Hidden Control, or System 4 kit in natural gas or propane.
