Opening a wall isn’t always an option, in an apartment, a finished room, or a business. You need a fire that can hang on the wall today and still look built-in. The Amantii Wall Mount/Flush Mount Smart 26 is for the room that wants a 26-inch linear fire it can wall-mount or flush-mount. Choose it for the look and warmth in the room; it is supplemental heat.

What Makes It Special

It wall mounts or builds in flush with the included brackets, and heat comes out of a single slot in the face of the surround. The black glass surround has 13 colors of back-lighting, and white glass surrounds are sold separately.

You choose yellow, orange, or red flames, two flame patterns, three speeds, and 11 colors of canopy and ember-bed lighting. Amantii’s app connects over Wi-Fi, so you can set the flame, the heat, and a schedule from your phone, and the included thermostatic remote does the same from the couch. The heater runs at up to 1,500 watts on high, and the flames run with the heat off.

It comes with a driftwood-style log set installed and the remote; Ember or Fire & Ice media are extra. Amantii approves it for outdoor installs with an overhang.

Possible Downsides

• It is supplemental heat. The heater warms the room you are in, not the whole house; the flames also run with the heat off.
