Who It’s For

You want the shape of a classic fireplace, but gas or wood isn’t practical where it has to go. You need a traditional-looking fire that installs like an electric. The Amantii Traditional Xtraslim 33 is for the room that wants a 33-inch traditional-style electric fire. Choose it for the fire you see and warmth in the room; it is supplemental heat.

What Makes It Special

The Xtraslim is slender enough to mount on a wall or recess into an ordinary wall, with a full-frame viewing area and a black surround.

You choose yellow, orange, or red flames and adjust their brightness and speed separately, with ember-bed colors that can auto-mix. Amantii’s app connects over Wi-Fi, so you can set the flame, the heat, and a schedule from your phone, and the included thermostatic remote does the same from the couch. The heater runs at up to 1,465 watts on high, and the flames run with the heat off.

It comes with clear glass diamonds, a black surround, and the full-feature remote. Amantii backs it with a two-year warranty.

Possible Downsides

• It is supplemental heat. The heater warms the room you are in, not the whole house; the flames also run with the heat off.
• It is rated for indoor installs. For a covered patio, look at the Traditional Lumina or Bespoke.

If you want a classic fireplace shape without gas or wood, the Amantii Traditional Xtraslim 33 is the right decision. The fireplace becomes the place the evening starts.

Choose the 26-, 30-, or 33-inch size, and add Amantii log sets or fire glass to change the look.
