Who It’s For

A modern room wants a long, clean fire on the wall, and gas would mean a line, a vent, and a permit. You need an electric fire that looks like part of the architecture, not an appliance. The Amantii Symmetry Xtraslim 60 is for the home or business that wants a 60-inch Symmetry fire. Choose it for the look and warmth in the room; it is not a whole-house heater.

What Makes It Special

Its slender depth lets it recess into a wall or semi-flush mount where a deeper unit won’t fit. The Symmetry series uses standardized unit sizing, so the opening can be framed at any stage of the build.

You set flame color, brightness, and speed and the ember-bed colors, and canopy lighting can light the media from above. Amantii’s app connects over Wi-Fi, so you can set the flame, the heat, and a schedule from your phone, and the included thermostatic remote does the same from the couch. The heater runs at up to 1,500 watts on high. The flames also run with the heat off.

It comes with an oak log set sized for the Xtraslim and the thermostatic remote.

Possible Downsides

• It is supplemental heat. The heater warms the room you are in, not the whole house; the flames also run with the heat off.
• It is rated for indoor installs. For a patio, look at the Symmetry Lumina or Bespoke.

If your wall is too shallow for a standard built-in, the Amantii Symmetry Xtraslim 60 is the right decision. The wall reads as a design choice, and the fire is the reason.
